Classic computer pinball
This title brings back a lot of memory. It was the first pinball game I bought on PC. I was able to replay the old game using Dosbox on my mac and I must say that the new iPad version is far superior. The graphics have been updated in full 3D and the animation is very smooth. The ball physic is even closer to real life.
Fortunately, the developers resisted the temptation to "improve" the game and give it a more modern look. Tristan was trying to emulate a real life pinball machine. So there is no need for special "animation", glowing balls and all other stuff we see in todays computer pinball. For some people, that may be disappointing. But for me, its what gives this title its charm. A simple, enjoyable, classic pinball.
Too bad LittleWing did not provide a "trial" version so that people can try before buying. Thats what they do with their PC version. You get a timed version that plays for about a minute. If you want to play longer, you have to buy the license.
Lets hope they bring Crystal Caliburn as well on the iPad. Thats my all time favorite in classic computer pinball.
